Growing up, Cory was not only dedicated to his piano lessons but also deeply interested in composing and using synthesizers. This early fascination with both acoustic and electronic sounds became a defining aspect of his musical development.
Cory's early career was defined by an extensive 13-month tour with a rock band dedicated to anti-alcohol and drug abuse assembly programs. Performing in junior and senior high schools nationwide, the band’s rigorous schedule honed Cory's performance skills and reinforced his commitment to using music as a force for positive change. During this time, he successfully integrated his classical piano skills with synthesizer technology, enhancing the band's sound and his own musical versatility.
Driven by his passion for music, Cory pursued further studies in recording and sound engineering, ultimately leading him to Nashville in 1998. His dedication to his craft culminated in the release of his solo piano album, Out of the Blue, in 2015. Recorded on a Yamaha C7 grand piano, the album showcases his classical training and emotive playing style.
